A terrible troupe of actors takes on the genre that will not die—the murder mystery! Follow along—if you dare—as our misguided performers attempt to nail down those devilish British accents, understand what a red herring is, and figure out how to die onstage without looking all gross and stuff. Meanwhile, the director and stage manager, who really love dealing with the egomaniacs and lunatics in the cast, wouldn't really try to murder someone during the murder mystery. Would they?! Chaos rules the day as time is running out for cast and crew to sort out this mess.

During this week-long camp, students will put together a full production! They will end the week in a performance for friends and family to attend.

Here's a little bit about what to expect:

  • Play improv games with other campers and improve your creative-thinking abilities.

  • Increase your onstage presence by learning how to create a believable character.

  • Learn about stage design (set/costumes/props) by helping to prepare for the production.

  • Enjoy theme days each day of camp (pajama day, crazy socks day, etc.).

  • Speaking roles for each student (non-speaking options available if desired).

  • Performance for friends and family to attend on Friday at 7pm.

  • All costumes provided (with the exception of personal items such as tights/tank tops/etc. or items you already own).

  • Storybook Theatre camp production tshirt.

  • Auditions prior to camp so that campers have time to memorize lines for the performance.

  • 2 free tickets per student for their performance.

  • Additional tickets are $7 each. Invite as many friends/family members as you want!

  • Each Storybook performance is a group effort and we need YOUR help to make everything come together! Parent volunteer positions will include options like selling tickets or concessions, donating items like water bottles/tissues/paper towels, etc. A signup will be emailed prior to the beginning of camp so that you can select the best way for your family to contribute to the production!
