Synopsis:
Two battling narrators attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology using audience participation, cross-dressing, and general theatrical insanity. Famous myths such as Pandora's Box, Jason and the Argonauts (the original Super Friends), and Hercules: Intern God jostle for space with obscure, weird myths such as the myth of Linus and the legend of the Argus. Culminating in a bizarre, musical dance-influenced version of The Iliad complete with a full-scale battle of little green army men, this play is wild, silly, and a complete blast for audiences of all ages.

What if I'm not available for these audition dates?
Contact us to make alternate arrangements.

I'm participating in a Storybook Theatre Summer Camp(s) Can I still audition?
If you have signed up to participate in another Storybook Theatre class during the summer 2022 semester, you are still welcome to audition for this production. If you are participating in a performance camp in summer 2022, you will get a $50 discount on the production fee for this show.

What to Expect at Auditions:
1. Sign up for a 10-minute audition slot. Signup for your time HERE.
2. Prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic or comedic monologue and be prepared to recite it at auditions. We may also ask you to read a scene from the show. Note that this is a play, not a musical - no singing/dancing are required at this audition. Please be prepared to show us lots of character!
3. Fill out the Audition Form (include ALL conflicts from May 23 – July 16).
4. Arrive at audition location at least five minutes prior to your scheduled time. You may be called to audition one at a time or in small groups. Auditions are closed (parents/guardians may wait in our waiting room during your audition).
5. Callback list will be emailed to participants, and posted on Storybook's website. If you are not called back, this does NOT mean you have not been cast in the production. Please check the website on Friday, May 20 for the cast list. It will also be sent via email.

Please realize that this production has a large time commitment. It will require character work and dedication on the part of every individual who is cast in the show.

Tentative Rehearsal Schedule:
Note: Only the Narrators will be needed for every rehearsal until the week of June 27th, when all cast members are called to every rehearsal. Prior to then, all cast members are called only on Monday and Saturday rehearsals. For Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals, the cast will be split and called only to one or the other.

Please bring ALL conflicts to auditions so that we can plan the best schedule based on availability.

These dates and times are subject to change as we realize production needs.
