Storybook Teen Performance Classes

Storybook Teen Classes are for ages 12-18.
If student's 12th birthday falls during the current semester, they are eligible to participate;
however, if they are a first-time student, we recommend starting with the age 7-12 group first.

Students may still participate during the summer after high school graduation if they choose.

Each performance class runs approximately 10-12 weeks.

Details for each production can be found below!
Please read full schedule of rehearsals and performances before registering.
Each student who registers will receive a speaking role in the production unless they specifically request otherwise.

Registration will close when the maximum number of participants has been reached.
Auditions on the first day of class will determine part distribution.

No previous acting experience required to participate.
Students may participate in both a play and a musical if desired (when available).
Performance day call time is 2.5 hours prior to performance.
Parents will be asked to help during tech week by running ticket/concession sales, providing supplies, and assisting as needed. It is MANDATORY to help with strike (cleanup) after the close of each performance.

Show Description:

At a New York girl's boarding house, there is a newspaper woman who wants to write a novel, a wise cracking shop girl, the serious music student, a faded actress, a girl looking for romance, the kid who wants to crash Broadway and other boarders. The landlady, is the proud custodian of the "McCarthy Collection," a group of perfect uncut diamonds. When it disappears from the safe, the newspaper woman is given two hours to solve the case before the police are called.
