Storybook Homeschool Program
Storybook is happy to hold a daytime program specifically for homeschooled students.
NOTE: The typical Friday homeschool classes will return for spring semester - late February through mid-April.
Storybook's skills classes have been designed to help your child will learn core acting. Whether your child is shy or not, this class will be an encouraging and fun environment to learn and grow together. We suggest this as a great beginner class for the student who is unsure about acting, but also for the experienced student with several past productions on their theatrical resume, as we will cover skills and topics such as body language, facial expressions, character work, projection, pronunciation, diction, and more. These are skills that do not always come naturally, but will help the student in their growth in the acting world!
During the 9 weeks of class, the students will incorporate what they’ve learned into a 10 minute showcase performance (performed during the final class in this session).
Acting Essentials: Tangled
Teacher: Cherie Wolfe
Don't stay locked inside a tower (or your house) this winter - join us for a fun class examining characters and their motivations, plus help write a short script to perform at the end of the session!
Class Cost: $150
Mondays 2:00-2:45pm
November 25 - February 3
No Class December 23, December 30
Thursdays 6:00-6:45pm
November 21 - January 30
No Class November 28, December 26, January 2
*NOTE: your student DOES NOT have to register for a "skills" class. Students are welcome to register for a skills class alone, a performance class alone, or a combination of both. Sign up for a performance class + an acting skills class and save $25.*
Storybook Performance Classes
If a student's birthday to be the correct age for the class falls during the current semester,
they are eligible to participate. It is helpful for students to be able to read, but not required.
Details for each production can be found below!
Each play performance class has rehearsal for 8-9 weeks. Musicals run for a longer number of weeks.
Please read full schedule of rehearsals and performances before registering.
Each student who registers will receive a speaking role in the production unless they specifically request otherwise.
Registration will close when the maximum number of participants has been reached.
Auditions on the first day of class will determine part distribution.
No previous acting experience required to participate.
Students may participate in both a play and a musical if desired.
Performance day call time is 2.5 hours prior to performance.
Parents will be asked to help during tech week by running ticket/concession sales, providing supplies, and assisting as needed. It is MANDATORY to help with strike (cleanup) after the close of each performance.

Overworked and under-appreciated Cinderella swings her broom at the Fairy Godmother, thinking she’s a giant moth. Meanwhile, Queen Hobnail wants Prince Shubert to choose a suitable princess, but he would rather play video games than dance with a girl. The beleaguered Fairy Godmother manages to bring the two together, at least until midnight, while Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters wait for the other shoe to drop.
