Pirates! Aliens! Space Travel! Space Pirates tells the story of Gabby, a kid who gets picked on during a school trip to the museum. Everything quickly changes when an alien space ship accidentally beams Gabby and her classmates up to outer space. Things go from bad to worse when the alien space ship is suddenly attacked by SPACE PIRATES! It’s only after this whirlwind space adventure that Gabby becomes comfortable in her own skin, and her classmates appreciate her for who she is.

During this two-week-long camp, students will put together a full musical production - complete with singing, dancing, and more. They will end the week by participating in three performances for friends and family to attend.

Campers should bring:

-a sack lunch and adequate snacks each day (no peanut products)

-closed toed shoes

-refillable water bottle

Here's a little bit about what to expect:

  • Learn, rehearse, and perform an entire musical production in just two weeks!

  • Learn about stage design (set/costumes/props) by helping to prepare for the production.

  • Enjoy theme days each day of camp (pajama day, crazy socks day, etc.).

  • 3 Performances for family/friends to attend (students MUST be available for all performances)

  • All costumes provided (with the exception of items you probably already own at home).

  • Storybook Theatre camp production tshirt.

  • Optional pizza/chips for dinner on Friday/Saturday (signup will be sent later, $4 per student per day)

  • 2 free tickets per student for their performance.

  • Additional tickets are $7 each. Tickets may be purchased in advance at rehearsal or via Storybook Theatre's website (link will be available closer to performance). NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE DOOR - MUST PURCHASE IN ADVANCE.

  • Each Storybook performance is a group effort and we need YOUR help to make everything come together! Parent volunteer positions will include options like selling tickets or concessions, donating items like water bottles/tissues/paper towels, etc. A signup will be emailed at the beginning of camp so that you can select the best way for your family to contribute to the production!
