Acting classes and performance opportunities for preschoolers and early elementary students.
Spaces in each class/camp are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register early to save your spot.
Storybook Theatre Rising Stars Beginning Acting Classes
Students participate in games, songs, and storytelling to form early awareness of stage presence and directed movement. Final week of class will feature showcase performance for immediate family to attend.
CLASS TIME:
Thursdays 6:00-6:45pm
Class begins June 10 and runs July 15.
Location:
Country Meadows Baptist Church
4901 Lees Summit Road, Kansas City, MO.
*July 15 will be at an alternate location*
Class only is $70 for the full semester.
Students will have the opportunity to perform in a group scene in The Wizard of Oz, July 22-24. If participation is desired, they will be expected to attend evening rehearsals on July 19, 20, and 21 in addition to the July 22-24 performances. All students will work together on a group scene with the intent of performing in Oz, but participation in the show is NOT required to take this acting class. They will not be given individual lines to memorize. Additional fee for Oz participants is $50.
